Bufalinda was founded in 1976 by Alberto Duhau and it started as a sustainable and eco- friendly farm for beef production. Alberto’s innovative techniques increased yield per acre tenfold, while maintaining a protective environment for the land and the endemic fauna. Due to the farm’s remarkable productivity and quality, he decided to transform it into a buffalo milk agribusiness selling a full line of buffalo milk products. This is today’s Bufalinda, a market leader in Venezuela and growing purveyor of fine buffalo cheeses in the United States.
Bufalinda’s herd is 100% grass fed and our happy buffalo roam free in these natural pastures. Our farms are located in the tropical savannahs of the Orinoco River Basin in Eastern Venezuela and have never been deforested, providing an ideal environment essential for the production of the creamiest buffalo milk, that in turn allows us to create our wonderful all natural buffalo mozzarella cheeses.
